Meeting National Quality Standards

Meeting National Quality Standards 〰️
What began as a small family business in an old wooden home has grown into a beautiful, flourishing Montessori inspired service built on love, dedication, and a deep belief in children and their potential. Every step of this journey has been guided by strong values, meaningful relationships, and a genuine commitment to providing the very best for our children and families.
We are incredibly proud to be meeting all areas of the National Quality Standards, an achievement that those within the early childhood sector know requires passion, consistency, and a whole lot of heart. This milestone reflects the care, professionalism, and unwavering commitment of our amazing team, who show up each day with warmth, intention, and a shared vision for quality education and care.
We are so grateful for our families who place their trust in us and walk alongside us as partners in their children’s learning journeys. And to our wonderful children, your curiosity, kindness, laughter, and unique spirits inspire us every single day. You are at the heart of everything we do, and you truly make our world a brighter and better place.
This service is more than just a place of learning; it is a community, a home away from home, and a space where children, families, and educators grow together.
Play…
It’s not just an idea. It’s the foundation of learning and a healthy childhood.
We provide mixed learning experiences based around nature and outdoor play.
There’s more and more data coming out about the health benefits of mud with connections to the outdoors being a foundational biological need.
Whether its building with boxes, catching bugs, or simply gazing at clouds, we believe children thrive when surrounded by real, authentic experiences and natural elements in play.

Six Little Ducks
We believe nature is the first teacher.
Childhood is not a race to adulthood and we believe in letting children be children, for as long as possible.
Life is a series of moments; they are fleeting, delicate, and can be transformative. With each sunrise we grow a little more and we are not the same person moment to moment. To support this growth, we need room to explore, and time to master the skills that we are learning.
At Six Little Ducks we help children grow through providing space, time, and simple resources. Our aim is to help children connect. To form authentic relationships with each other, with their environment, and with the adults in their lives.
From working in the NT out bush we have personally seen the amazing transformative benefits of outdoor play for growth and development, and we saw how simple natural elements calm children and allow our nervous systems to reset. We take these observations with us and allow children to explore in their own way and in their own time by providing simple open natural environments to play in.
In short, we aim to focus on what works for children.
these are mostly natural elements, simple materials, transformable spaces, and authentic relationships.
